We tend to miss out on the variety of radical histories that are found througout the world and throughout human history. This weeks readings deal with Chinese anarchism. Specifically the writings of Ba Jin, whom is also noted for his accomplishments toward modern Chinese literature.
Here is a Wikipedia on Ba Jin: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ba_Jin
And here is a short story from him: http://wordswithoutborders.org/?lab=BaJin-2
And the NY Times Obituary: http://www.nytimes.com/2005/10/18/books/18BA.html
Here is a link that briefly describes some of the Korean activities in the global anarchist movement. http://libcom.org/history/1894-1931-anarchism-in-korea

!!!DEWITT PARK – 6PM WEDNESDAY 23 JULY!!
Categories: Uncategorized
The Herb of the Month Club will be meeting again Monday,
July 14th at 6 pm in Stewart Park. We’ll meet at the large pavilion,
(or nearby).
The Herb of the Month Club is a medicinal herb tasting group. We try
low doses of medicinal herb tinctures and teas and share the results.
We focus on one herb each month. We’ll also be sharing information on
actions, indications, cultivation or identification of the herbs we
taste, as well as how to make medicine from the plants. The class is
geared to be fun and useful if you are new to herbal medicine or if
you are an old hand at it and just want to get a chance to spend some
time with a specific herb.
Also everyone will get to take home a little bottle of tincture, and
an informational zine about the herb we’re tasting
including a clip n’ save membership card.
