Join the Ithaca Freeskool in celebration of the end of another semester at our fun spring social. We’ll be hanging out in the newly cooperated Buffalo Street Books with snacks, trivia, live music, and maybe even some Freeskool buttons.
Most importantly, we’ll be revealing our Summer Session calendar! Come see what Ithaca Freeskool has in store for your summer. We’ll give you one hint: everything is free.

Ignite Ithaca is a “high-energy evening of 5-minute talks by people who have an idea – and the guts to get onstage and share it with their hometown crowd.” Lily Gershon did a jam-packed presentation on Freeskool on November 6, 2010 at the Pixel Lounge.
Animals & Our Actions is coming up on Dec. 13th, 6-8pm. There will be vegan cookies!

We had a party to wind down the last session and ring in the new one – here are photos from the First Ever Ithaca Freeskool Prom:
The Ithaca Freeskool will host the first ever Freeskool Prom dance party at the Tompkins County Workers Center at 115 The Commons, above Autumn Leaves Used Books on Wednesday, September 22nd from 8 pm to 1 am.
The event is free and will be DJ’ed by Bob Proehl, formerly of No Radio Records. The Freeskool Prom celebrates the end of the summer term and the release of the Fall term calendars, chock full of free classes for all ages. Everyone is welcome to come and get their groove on.
Attendees are encouraged to dress up for the prom, and yes, you get to decide what that means. See you there – tell your friends!!

Local animal advocate and TNR expert Kristin Lang demonstrates how to trap feral cats so that they can be spayed or neutered and returned to the wild. This class took place on June 22, 2010.
